Indonesia's biodiversity-based economy has tremendous potential to drive sustainable growth while protecting nature and improving community livelihoods. However, many sustainable businesses struggle to scale due to fragmented collaboration across the value chain, limiting opportunities to create lasting environmental, social, and economic impact. The Value Chain Collaboration Canvas (VC3) was developed to address these challenges by strengthening collaboration among value chain actors and building more connected, resilient ecosystems. The Value Chain Collaboration Canvas (VC3) is a practical collaboration framework that helps stakeholders map roles, identify shared opportunities, align incentives, and build stronger partnerships to create more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient value chains. Developed by Koalisi Ekonomi Membumi (KEM), building upon the original concept initiated by Supernova Ecosystem – Konstelasi Accelerator, and documented by Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF), the guide captures lessons learned from implementing VC3 across Indonesia's responsible bioeconomy ecosystem. It provides practical tools and real-world insights to support businesses, local communities, governments, investors, and ecosystem enablers in designing collaborative value chains that are both people-positive and nature-positive.

This guide was developed by Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) in collaboration with Koalisi Ekonomi Membumi (KEM). It presents the Value Chain Collaboration Canvas (VC3), originally initiated by Supernova Ecosystem – Konstelasi Accelerator and further refined through KEM's implementation across Indonesia's responsible bioeconomy ecosystem.
